A 'hat's off' to Jacques Derrida, Interrupted Chatter is a short electro-acoustic piece that cracks spoken language from its codified, symbological shell in an effort to hear what might lie inside. Communication through spoken language takes place on many levels and the shared meaning in words is merely one. In this piece, a quote by Sai Baba, "You seek too much information and not enough transformation.", is broken into component parts, compressed, then reassembled in an attempt to reveal what subtext may exist therein.
