The Past Is a Ghost will be presented at the SPACE Gallery in Portland, Maine, May 17 - June 15, 2008.

On May 12 & 13, Pulse Train Music will be installed in Room 224 in Class of 1944 Hall at the University of Maine at Orono. It will be open for the public on the 12th from 1 - 4pm and on the 13th from 11 - 2pm, so if you are on or around campus please come by.

The Baltic Sea will be part of the SoundLAB IV presentation at FILE - Electronic Language Festival in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, February 26 - March 29, 2008.

Zach Poff + I have been awarded an ISEA 2008 artist residency. We will set up shop at the National University of Singapore during summer 2008 to create new work for the annual exhibition.

I have developed a freeware Meditation Timer for Mac OS X. It is designed to sit on your computer desktop and chime "begin" and "end" at a user-set interval. You can download it here.

The Aural Ecosystem will be shown at ECAL 2007 in Lisbon, Portugal, September 10-14, 2007, in association with the Workshop for Music and Artifical Life and the Musica Viva Festival.



Zach Poff + I will be performing at the Ear to the Earth concert, sponsored by EMF, at the Stonington Opera House in Stonington, ME on Friday, July 27th (above).

Zach Poff + I will be included in the upcoming issue of Media-N, the journal of the New Media Causcus. The issue is entitled Bits, Bytes and the Rhetoric of Practice and is scheduled for on-line publication in mid-July.



On Thursday, July 19th, at 6:30 pm, Zach Poff + I will give a talk about our work and New Media in art at Art Interactive in Cambridge, MA (above: the Aural Ecosystem at Art Interactive).

The Shape of Memory will be shown as part of the International Symposium on Computational Aesthetics in Graphics, Visualization, and Imaging at the Banff Center in Banff, Alberta, Canada, on June 20 - 22, 2007.

The Interactive Soundscape project's new website is launched! Zach Poff + I are pleased to announce www.interactivesoundscapes.org, the on-line headquarters for a series of installations in which local sounds are gathered into a community archive for exploration.

MEDIAWORKS, an exhibition of media and New Media art which critiques how Media operates culturally, runs from January 9 - February 17, 2007 at the Perimeter Gallery at Chase's Daily, 96 Main St. in Belfast, Maine. The exhibition will feature art work by Marwalkers Karl-Otto von Oertzen and Alex Berthier, and Zach Poff and me (below). MEDIAWORKS also features texts pieces commissioned for the exhibition by Sharon Hayes, Margaretha Haughwout, Jon Ippolito, Chris Mann, Read Mercer Schuchardt and Liz Kelton Sheehan.
